Clinical Education Teaching Assistant
The Asklepaedia (USA) LLC is seeking teaching assistants to support academic, training and consulting activities in primary healthcare at undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education levels. Ideal for medical school graduates seeking short-term assignments during gap years before postgraduate training.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with preparation for lectures, seminars and workshops
- Guiding student clinicians in history taking and physical examination
- Guiding student clinicians in completing medical records and writing prescriptions
- Assisting with curriculum development and course planning
- Assisting with data collection and analyses for evaluating learning activities
- Planning and updating student rotation schedules
- Liaising with US and international medical schools
- Participating in marketing plans for Asklepaedia services
Competences Acquired Through On-the-Job Training
- History of medical specialities and evolution of healthcare systems
- Relationship between healthcare systems, life expectancy and healthcare costs
- Problem-orientated medical records and patient-centred prescription writing
- Concepts of population-based healthcare
- ICD and CPT coding and basic practice management
- Core competencies for US undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
- Synergism between academia, quality of care and revenue generation
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree graduate of a WHO-accredited medical school
- Good communication skills
- Preference given to previous participation in Asklepaedia family practice rotations
- Medical licensure NOT required
